Job Ready Site
The EastPointe Business Park’s Job Ready Site project is the culmination of 10 years of planning, partnerships, hard work and capital investment. The roughly 1,200-acre EastPointe Business Park is approximately one hour east of Columbus, and it is three miles north of I-70 Exit 157. The park is already home to a 1.2-million-square-feet Dollar General distribution Center, a 660,000-square-feet AVON Products distribution center as well as manufacturing facilities owned by The New Bakery Company of Ohio and the Bilco Company. In 2006, Zanesville-Muskingum County formulated plans for a large, single-user manufacturing site – a site that would accommodate an economy-transforming project in record time with all the due diligence done and with no surprises.
We are not shy in saying we cleared a path forward so that all may profit.
Through our partnerships with the Ohio Department of Development, water, sewer, and roads were extended. Extensive grading was done. The EastPointe Job Ready Site is now 295 acres, which includes a 100-acre pad of more than 1,000’ by 4,000’. The site is owned by the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority and is free of encumbrances. An electric substation, fed from both the north and south by a 138 KV transmission line. A 6-inch high-pressure gas line fed by 750,000,000 cubic feet of underground storage in the area runs adjacent to the site. Broadband is available via AT&T telephone and Time Warner Cable.
A rail transfer station already exists in the EastPointe Business Park, but a rail spur to the site has been engineered through Port Authority property, and permits have been received from the Ohio EPA and Corps of Engineers to extend rail through Port Authority property to the site. Rail could be extended to the site in 9 months. Building permits can be approved rapidly through the state certified Muskingum County Building Permit office. 1-page fact sheet or 8-page brochure.
