Time Warner chooses Zanesville for growth |
November 1, 2008
Time Warner Cable is constructing a new 42,000 square foot call center off of Northpointe Drive in Zanesville, Ohio. The facility is expected to be completed in late 2008 and will bring more than 160 new jobs to the area by the end of 2010, ultimately housing a total of nearly 350 employees.
Kathy Chamberlain, vice president of Customer Care for Time Warner Cable Mid-Ohio Division, said that the facility provides the space needed to handle increased call volume due to company growth.
“The opportunity to build a new, state-of-the art facility in Zanesville is very exciting for Time Warner Cable and brings with it our commitment to positively impact the economic growth and success of the area,” Chamberlain said. “We are thrilled to bring a $5 million investment to the community as a result of this project.”
Time Warner Cable is the second-largest cable operator in the U.S., with technologically advanced, well-clustered systems located mainly in five geographic areas — New York state (including New York City), the Carolinas, Ohio, southern California (including Los Angeles) and Texas. As of December 31, 2007, Time Warner Cable served approximately 14.6 million customers who subscribed to one or more of its video, high-speed data and voice services.
Zanesville is a growing community located in Muskingum County in eastern Ohio, approximately one hour east of Columbus on Interstate 70.
